What does my Hoyts Black Card entitle me to?
A Hoyts Black Card entitles the Cardholder access to one complimentary ticket to each of five different scheduled general admission movie sessions at any Hoyts cinema in Australia, including those in Xtremescreen and the Bean Bag cinema, each day within the 12-month validity period of the Card.
Hoyts Black Cardholders also enjoy all the benefits of Hoyts Rewards - Australia's premiere cinema loyalty program. See above for more information on Hoyts Rewards.
Hoyts Black Cardholders also have access to the Hoyts Express priority queues wherever they are implemented in cinema, regardless of whether they have pre-purchased tickets online or not.
What are the restrictions on my Hoyts Black Card?
The Hoyts Black Card is not transferrable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
A Hoyts Black Cardholder may only access tickets for personal use and may not provide tickets to any other individual, regardless of whether on a paid or free basis.
A Hoyts Black Cardholder cannot accumulate tickets to redeem multiple tickets for the one session, or to attend more than five different sessions in any one day.
Can I use my Hoyts Black Card to see movies that are not general admission sessions?
Yes. By paying an incremental fee at the point of sale, a Hoyts Black Cardholder may upgrade to premium sessions such as La Premiere, Directors Suite or Hoyts IMAX®.
Can I use my Hoyts Black Card to see 3D movies?
Yes. However, an incremental fee will be payable at the time of redemption. 3D glasses are not included and must be purchased separately if required.
Does my Hoyts Black Card guarantee me admission to the session of my choice?
No. Admission is still subject to availability of seats in your preferred session.
Can I give or sell my Hoyts Black Card to someone else to use?
No. The Hoyts Black Card is not transferrable once issued and only valid for use by the Cardholder. A photo of the Cardholder is printed on the back of the Card and verified each time the Card is used.
Where can I use my Hoyts Black Card?
You can use your Hoyts Black Card to access tickets at any Hoyts cinema in Australia.
You can also use your Hoyts Black Card to redeem a movie ticket online at www.hoyts.com.au. Booking fees apply when purchasing tickets online.
When purchasing tickets online, you must be logged in using your username and password.
How do I use my Hoyts Black Card online to purchase my tickets?
You must enter your username and password at www.hoyts.com.au before selecting your tickets to purchase. This will ensure that any available tickets on your Hoyts Black Card will be showing for redemption. Please note that booking fees ($1.10 per ticket) apply for online ticket purchases.
Can I use my Hoyts Black Card at a self-service kiosk in cinema?
No. Hoyts Black Cards can only be used to redeem for your movie ticket at the Box Office, Candy Bar or online. You are entitled to use the Hoyts Express priority queue in cinema, regardless of whether you have pre-purchased your tickets online or not.
When does my Hoyts Black Card Expire?
Your Hoyts Black Card will expire 12 months after the date of purchase.
The expiry date will be marked on the back of your Hoyts Black Card.
Can I replace or exchange my Hoyts Black Card?
If your Hoyts Black Card has been lost or stolen, we will replace your Hoyts Black Card free of charge for the first replacement. Any replacement Cards required thereafter will be charged at $25 per Card plus postage and handling (inc GST).
Hoyts Black Cards cannot be refunded or exchanged for cash.
Can I renew my Hoyts Black Card?
Yes, you can renew your Hoyts Black Card for a fee each year from sixty (60) days prior to expiry.
However, only 1,000 Hoyts Black Cards are released for sale each year and no additional allocation will be made available once that allocation has been reached.

If I purchased a Hoyts Black Card in Australia, can I use it in New Zealand and vice versa?
Hoyts Black Cards can only be redeemed in the country in which they were purchased. Please refer to the terms and conditions for clarification on where they can be redeemed.
Where can I purchase Hoyts Black Cards?
Hoyts Black Card can only be purchased from the Hoyts Corporate Sales team. Only 1,000 Hoyts Black Cards are released for sale each year and no additional allocation will be made available once that allocation has been reached.
