PRESCHOOLERS IN CINEMAS
The cinema experience is a whole new, exciting world for preschoolers. Large auditoriums with huge screens and surround sound, big chairs and movie lights, with lots of other children and families in attendance. HOYTS JNR has been created to provide the opportunity for preschoolers to experience the cinema in a tailor-made environment.
We understand that preschoolers may not be able to sit still during an entire film. Therefore, most of the films that screen as part of HOYTS JNR run from 50 mins to approximately 1 hour. The HOYTS JNR program is tailor made for children 2 to 6 years of age, so if they need to stand up and stretch their legs, or leave the cinema during the movie, nobody is going to mind a disruption.
FILM SELECTION
HOYTS JNR aims to screen the best preschool films that feature everyone’s favourite characters. Often these films are based on popular TV characters, and children are delighted to see their favourite TV friends on the big screen. A new film is scheduled approximately every 2 months or so, please check regularly for the latest on new movies.

CLASSIFICATION
Classification markings are the classification symbols and words that appear on a range of films. Classification markings provide consumers, especially parents, with classification information to help them choose a film to watch. There are three main components of a classification marking:
- classification symbol
- classification description
- consumer advice, which is specific to each film and computer game, and which informs consumers about some of the content in a film or computer game.
These elements appear in various combinations on all classified products and most advertising for classified products.
All films that screen as part of HOYTS JNR are classified G General.
