Contrary to what critics seem to think, John Carter was an excellent film, with it's unique engaging storyline combining seamlessly with state of the art visual effects endowing Disney's fantastical creation with a timeless reverie. Plot twists were well incorporated and the action well staged and executed forming a movie underserving of the negative feedback critics have bestowed upon it.

Was a great movie loved it

A sadly underrated and largely ignored SF movie. Very enjoyable overall - it's just a pity it was so badly promoted by Disney to start with! I expect this film will become a cult classic in coming years - and people who largely ignored it now will come to appreciate what a good film it is!

Really enjoyed it, loved the comedic one-liners and looks to add to the entertainment and not just make the movie about the effects

Good story line, action and CGI were excellent, continuity also good. Enjoyed the movie immensely. I don't know what drugs the knockers were on, but they were just plain wrong!.

I really enjoyed this one and couldn't believe the low ratings it received in the press. The story is well laid out, the acting is solid and the general eye candy is most appealing. I can't remember the books and so can't comment on how well it treats the original material but judged on its own merits this is definitely recommended.
