Pathetic misrepresentation of a Verne novel. i found remarkable the fact that they placed the legendary island of Atlantas, in the pacific Ocean. Yeah, the ancient Greeks, from whence the myth came, Plato, I think, named it eponomously after the dude Atlas who gives his name to the Atlantic ocean. Why not the south Atlantic then it might not seem so apochryphal.\
A very forgettable film. Michael Caine looked as though he would fall asleep when he was in cameo and not dialoguing. As for the comic relief fat latino. He was not funny enough to forgive his bad looks, obesity and stupidity.
