Synopsis
Danielle (Juno Temple) is the "Dirty Girl" of an Oklahoma high school, circa 1987. When her misbehaviour gets out of hand, she is banished to the remedial class where she is paired up on a parenting project with friendless resident gay-boy Clarke. Angered by her mother (Milla Jovovich) and irked by her new fiancé (William H Macy), Danielle sets out to find her real father in Los Angeles with Clarke and their "baby" Joan in toe. An outrageous road trip ensues, revelling in the dynamics of an oddball pairing and an unexpected friendship.
