Synopsis
Engineer Silvia Casalino dreams about that most very rare opportunity = to go into space. Accepting it may never happen, she seeks out female icons of astro travel and cyborg culture to discuss the relationship between gender and technology and the history of lesbians in space, including seminal feminist essayist Donna Haraway.
Screens with “Beastliness” an animation based upon a series of analogue paper collages by local artist Deborah Kelly. A fusion of science and fairytale, reimagining and animating dancing, desiring, hungry hybrid lady creatures.
