Synopsis
In celebration of its 30th anniversary and this festival’s sex-on-screen theme, we revisit Fassbinder’s final film, his sumptuous adaptation of Jean Genet’s classic novel. Querelle is a handsome sailor, a dangerous criminal, drug smuggler and murderer. Docking in Brest, he visits a bar and brothel, the Feria, to confront his brother and satisfy some other Sailor’s urges.
