Entrapped between his masculine body and the female characters of his thespian world, Hari is consumed with the question of his own sexual identity. Revered for his effeminate performances, Hari’s attempt to integrate feminism into his daily life is met with contempt and bigotry. Chronicles of Hari (Harikatha Prasanga) is a poetic and melancholic film, shot against the lush backdrop of India’s coastal region. The Indian Film Festival of Melbourne is pleased to deliver a film befitting our 2017 diversity theme, addressing the prevalent contemporary issue of sexual identity.
