What we are looking for in applicants

Team spirit : We are looking for people who want to be part of a team
Right attitude: We are looking for people who want to work with us to look after our customers
On time commitment: Punctuality is important to us, and it needs to be important to you. This means that you need to arrive on time to every shift.
Personal Presentation: We are looking for people who have a neat and tidy appearance to represent our brand.

In addition:

  • Our operating hours are usually from 9am to midnight seven days a week and we trade 365 days per year. Some shifts can start as early as 7am and finish as late as 3am on weekends. You will need to specify when you are available to work on this application.
  • We ask that our team members have the ability to work the following:
     - Friday, Saturday & Tuesday night
     - Sunday
     - Availability to work school and public holidays is essential as these are usually the times  when our customers want to see movies!

Everything else, we can teach you on the job.

A little bit about the application process:

  • The online application process can take up to half an hour so make sure you have enough time to complete your application as there is no ‘save’ option once you have begun.
  • Once you apply for an interview on line, your application will be kept on file for 3 months. If the opportunity for an interview arises during this time, you will be contacted by phone.

You acknowledge that any false or misleading information you provide may lead to rejection of your application or a review of employment offered by The Hoyts Corporation and may potentially result in the discontinuing of your employment.

  • Carefully consider availability as you will be asked what days and times you are available to work. The more you are available, the greater flexibility we have in managing your roster.

Hoyts only gathers personal information when voluntarily submitted by you. The information collected in your application will be used solely for the purpose of recruitment and for assessing your application for employment.

If your application is successful, the information that we collect will become part of the records we keep about employees. If your application is unsuccessful, we will destroy all information within three months of you being notified.
