She's very ambitious and hopes to attend school, relying on her father's promise to send her after the long, harsh winter. Due to changing weather patterns and global warming, they've had a poor farming season this year, just like last year. The weather forecast predicts La Niña, indicating a particularly harsh winter ahead, and they need to prepare for it by stocking up on food and other essentials.
