The Alto Knights follows Vito Genovese and Frank Costello, a pair of Italian Americans who run two separate crime families in the mid-20th century.
Robert De Niro plays dual leading roles as Vito Genovese and Frank Costello, two Italian-American mob bosses. Genovese orders a hit on Costello, who survives but is wounded in the attempt and ultimately decides to retire from the Mafia.
