Win* a trip to the Northern Territory Terms & Conditions
1. The Promotion
- Entry into the ‘Win* a Trip to the Northern Territory’ promotion (Promotion) is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. Headings in this document are included for ease of reference, and do not affect interpretation in any way.
- All references to time in this document are a reference to the local time in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia on the date stated. The promotion commences on 01/05/2025 and closes at 21/05/2025. (Promotion Period).
- The Promotion is a game of chance.
2. Promoter's Details
- The Promoter is The HOYTS Corporation Pty Ltd of 680 George St Sydney, NSW, 2000 (Promoter) (ABN 31 006 082 551). The Promotion is authorised under NSW Authority No. TP/04109, ACT Permit No. TP 25/00986 & SA Licence No. T25/728.
- Tourism NT (ABN 17 435 764 236) are responsible for the administration and organisation of The Prize.
3. Eligibility
- Entry into the promotion is open only to Australian residents 18 years of age or older who are HOYTS Rewards members, excluding directors, management, employees and their immediate families of the Promoter and its related bodies corporate and registered travel companions of employees of the Promoter and its related bodies corporate including without limitation Tourism NT.
- The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of each entry. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any person for tampering with the entry process or who otherwise does not comply with these Terms and Conditions.
4. Entry into the promotion
- To enter;
- Eligible Entrants will automatically receive one entry into the competition when they see Crocodile Dundee: The Encore Cut at HOYTS between May 8, 2025 and May 21, 2025. Entrants must be a HOYTS Rewards Member to be eligible. Members must be logged into their HOYTS Rewards account at the time of purchase to be eligible. One entry per transaction, regardless of number of tickets purchased. Entrants can enter as many times as they like during the promotion period.
- The Promoter is not responsible for any lost, late or misdirected entries.
5. The Prize
- The Promoter is offering Entrants the chance to win a trip for two (2) to the Northern Territory. Prize details noted in clause 8(b).
- The maximum notional value of the prize is $10,000.
- The estimate of maximum notional value of the Prize is provided for information purposes only and will vary depending on whether and how it is redeemed by a Prize Winner. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the maximum notional value of each Prize. The Prize value is in Australian Dollars. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for change in prize value between now and the ultimate date on which the prize is taken.
- The estimate of the maximum notional value of each prize [the Prize] is provided for information purposes only. The maximum notional value of the prize will vary depending on rate or seasonal changes. The Promoters accept no responsibility for any variation in the maximum notional value of each prize [the Prize].
- The Prize is awarded and must be redeemed, in accordance with and subject to the Terms and Conditions of Tourism NT if relevant, and any other terms and conditions disclosed at the time of redemption.
6. Drawing of Entries
- The competition draw will take place at The HOYTS Corporation Pty Ltd of 680 George St Sydney, NSW, 2000 on 23/05/2025 at 11am AEST. The draw will be conducted by The HOYTS Corporation Pty Ltd (Drawer).
- The result of the draw is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
- In the event of malpractice, the promoter will redraw the prize. The second-chance draw will be conducted at 11am on 13/06/2025 at the HOYTS Sydney Head Office, located at Level 50, 680 George Street Sydney, NSW 2000. The Winner will be notified via email.
7. Notification of the winner
The winner will be notified by email within five (5) business days of the draw. Winners details (last name, first initial and postcode) will be published on https://www.hoyts.com.au from 27/05/2025 for a period of 28 days. In the event of a second-chance draw, the Winners details (last name, first initial and postcode) will be published on https://www.hoyts.com.au from 17/06/2025 for a period of 28 days.
8. Prize Details
- The Promoter is not responsible for the manner in which the Prize is redeemed.
- Prize includes:
- 7 Day Car Hire (Premium Location Surcharge) J - Large 4WD.
- 3 Nights stay in Darwin at the Double tree by Hilton esplanade or Garden Inn Darwin in a guest room including breakfast and parking.
- Spectacular Jumping Crocodile Tour.
- 1 nights stay in Kakadu at Cooinda Lodge in a Lodge room (room only).
- 2 nights stay in Kakadu at Mercure Crocodile Hotel in a Standard room including breakfast.
- Kakadu Adventure tour with Kakadu Tourism.
- 2hr Yellow Water Billabong Cruise.
- Kakadu National Park Entry Fee.
- Jabiru 30-minute Fixed Wing Scenic Flight.
- Flight Voucher up to $1,000 per person.
- Prize Terms and Conditions:
- Prize inclusions and details are correct as of 7 April 2025 and is subject to change without advance notice.
- Travel period: 1 July 2025 – 30 June 2026. Subject to availability. Supplements and blackout dates may apply. If any part of the prize is unavailable, Holidays of Australia & the World / NT Now, at its discretion, reserves the right to substitute the prize with a prize to the equal or greater value.
- Trip must be booked by 31 July 2025, subject to availability and blackout periods including school holidays apply.
- Any and all costs associated with collecting the prize including but not limited to taxes, transport, accommodation, meals, beverages, travel insurance, passports, visas, excess baggage, and items of a personal nature are the sole responsibility of the entrant.
- Prize cannot be exchanged for cash. Flight vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash or other products or services. Any price differences for upgraded flights or alternative travel arrangements must be paid by the participant at the time of booking.
- Travellers may extend their stay / upgrade accommodation at additional cost.
- Car hire includes rental rate, unlimited kilometres, damage liability with a $6,900 excess on passenger vehicles. Drivers must be 25+ or an additional insurance surcharge will apply.
- Some tours may require minimum age requirements and or fitness requirements. Kakadu scenic flight, a maximum individual seat weight limit of 130kg applies. Seasonal conditions may apply.
- Jabiru scenic flights depart from the Jabiru Airport. Check in and information is available inside the Terminal. A minibus transfer service is available between Jabiru accommodations and the Jabiru Airstrip. Cost is $10 per person (not included).
- Further conditions may apply.
- Compliance with immigration, health or other government requirements is the responsibility of the winner.
9. Other Matters Relating to the Promotion
- If a Prize or receipt of it incurs a tax liability, the Prize Winner is liable for payment of such tax.
- The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
- Subject to State legislation and (if required) the approval of any relevant gaming authorities, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute the Prize in whole (or any of its components), with a substitute prize of equal or greater value and the Prize Winner will be notified accordingly.
10. Privacy
- By entering this Promotion, each Entrant is taken to consent to the Promoter using the Entrant’s personal information to administer the Promotion and disclosing the Entrant’s personal information to organisations that assist the Promoter with administering the Promotion to third parties as required by law. If the information requested is not provided by the Entrant, the Entrant may not participate in the Promotion. 11. Liability
- Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits, excludes or modifies or purports to limit, exclude or modify the statutory consumer guarantees as provided under Australian Consumer Law. Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, the Promoter and its related bodies corporate (including their respective officers, employees and agents) exclude all:
- liability for all direct losses arising in any way out of out of: (i) any technical difficulties, equipment malfunction, any delayed email, any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, technical problems or traffic congestion on the internet or any website (whether or not under the Promoter or its related bodies corporates’ control); (ii) any theft, destruction, unauthorised access or third party interference of entries under this Promotion; (iii) any entry or Prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter or its related bodies corporate; (iv) any tax liability incurred by a Prize Winner or Entrant; or (v) use of a Prize; and
- Liability for indirect or consequential losses arising in any way out of the Promotion.
12. Variations
- If for any reason any aspect of this Promotion is not capable of running as planned, including by reason of computer virus, communications network failure, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failure or any cause beyond the control of the Promoter, the Promoter may in its sole discretion cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion and invalidate any affected entries, or suspend or modify a prize, subject to State or Territory regulation.
- Any amendments to the competition and/or the terms and conditions, must be approved by relevant State or Territory regulatory authorities.
13. General
- Failure by the Promoter to enforce any one of these Terms and Conditions in any instance(s) will not give rise to any claim or right of action by any Entrant or Prize Winner or other person.
- The laws of the State where an Entrant is based apply to this Promotion.
14. Definitions
In these Terms and Conditions:
- Eligible Entrant is defined in clause 3;
- Entrant is as defined in clause 4;
- Prize means the prize defined in clause 5(a);
- Prize Winner means the winner of a Prize as defined in clause 6(a)
