We follow the lives of four members of the Lebanese Christian elite. In one of the world´s most politically unstable countries, they are a symbol of the former “Switzerland of the Middle East” – the last representatives of a golden age they are reluctant to give up. They have overcome their fears for the future and live life to the fullest, as if nothing had changed. They live in a bittersweet oasis, a mix of an intense social life with the extravagance of bygone times. Through an elegant mise-en-scène, we witness the end of an era and a way of life whose days are numbered.Short film, Back to Sao Paulo, plays before main feature - A young immigrant arrives in Sao Paulo in order to fulfill his dream, and suddenly everything changes to begin the journey of searching for hope again in order to return to Sao Paulo again.
